Happy Wednesday friends!  We have officially made it halfway through the week so only two more days until the weekend!  I know I have been a little MIA this past week and a half and have not posted on here in a while because I’ve been really busy, stressed, and my childhood dog passed away… but this week is a new week and I’m excited to share all the links for my outfits that I wore this past weekend on Zach and I’s road trip to Jacksonville to visit his family!

For the drive there, I wanted to be comfortable since it’s about a three hour drive and it was the first time Zach and I brought our dog on a trip that long.  This pink sweat set from Honeydew Intimates was perfect.  It’s a little more expensive than what I like to spend on casual outfits but boy oh boy the price is worth it! I love the hot pink color for summer and the french terry material wasn’t heavy for the 90+ degree weather.  Long sleeved tops and shorts have been a recent obsession for me and I just love how you can wear the tops and shorts together or separate.  This set comes in 2 solid colors and 2 print combinations.  I have it in both pink and grey because it’s just THAT GOOD.  I wear them every single week because I am obsessed with the sweatshirt and short combo, they are just so comfortable, and they are cute enough to wear out in public!

On the second day, we went to the mall to do a little shopping and this black dress and Converse combo was perfect!  It was comfortable for walking in the heat and cute too!  I’ve been loving the sporty chic trend lately and I’ll continue to support it until the end of time!  My favorite thing ever when it comes to outfits is being comfortable and cute at the same time and this outfit did the trick!  I can’t wait to pair these platform Converse shoes with leggings and a jacket or cardigan in the fall.  I got this dress from Loft for work but it is so versatile and easy to go from desk to drinks or weekend brunch.

Holy cow! believe me when I tell you that flared jeans are the best! I got so many compliments on this outfit when I wore it to dinner.  Flares are so flattering on every body type and they are easier to get your hands on now verses a few months ago.  More retailers are currently selling them and some are very reasonably priced.  I have a pair of white ones also and I can’t wait to wear them.  I’m only about five feet tall so I had to get mine altered but places like American Eagle Outfitters come in lengths!  Also this top is super flowy and I love the print.  I’m not a huge fan of prints but I just couldn’t live without this one because it’s fairly neutral.  I knotted it up in the front so it didn’t overpower the flares.  I will most definitely be wearing these jeans all through fall and winter!

For Sunday’s outfit, I went super casual.  I’m a huge supporter of shorts, tanks, and sweater combos.  Honestly, this type of outfit is one of my go-to styles because it’s so simple, the combinations are endless, and every girl has these items in their closet.  The Dani Tank is one of my favorite styles of tanks from Free People and I own 7 colors.  They are only $20 and is a great basic.  Also, these shorts are similar to the more expensive One Teaspoon Bandits at a fraction of the cost and they go on BOGO 50% off pretty often.  I’m dying to get them in a dark wash. (Size up one in shorts)

As you can probably tell, I love easy comfortable outfits that are also cute and trendy.  I tried to bring outfits that were easy to recreate without having to run to the store and buy something to be on trend.  When you have a few good staple pieces, there are endless combinations to try out.  I hope these looks gave you some inspiration to recreate on your own!  Now let’s be our boss babe selves and push through the rest of the week! Xx
